Voyageur Outward Bound School (VOBS)
Interim Marketing Manager & Digital Marketing Intern
In my role as the Interim Marketing Manager in 2017, I developed and launched an adaptable social media strategy that resulted in growing Instagram followers by 51%, Facebook by 7%, Twitter by 6%. I promoted active engagement through social media platforms by interacting with and responding to followers by allowing audience to relive or partake in an Outward Bound expedition. I assisted in planning seasonal enrollment campaigns utilizing social media and email marketing.
As a Digital Marketing Intern in the summer of 2016, I supported the Marketing Manager and assisted with open enrollment needs, scheduled social media posts on Coschedule for their social platforms, and curated content that brought people's Outward Bound experiences to life.

Gathering Stories
This was the first post that I created while managing the VOBS instagram. I found that asking questions generated engagement and brought back memories for alumni and current students. Students take a dip in the sauna during both summer and winter courses.
Winter Courses
Dogsledding & Cross Country Skiing
The dogyard houses over 120 dogs who pull 400+ lbs sleds across Northern Minnesota and Canada. Adults and college students tend to populate these courses, so I varied posts to include relevant quotes to attract those who wanted to experience a 7-10 day dogsledding course.
I had the opportunity to join a 7 day dogsledding course where we traveled over 50 miles and spent the entire trip outdoors. The highest temperature was -15 degrees.

Adopt A Sled Dog
In order to increase interest in adopting sled dogs, I highlighted certain dogs on our page. I also occasionally added links in our bio, so followers could learn more about the adoption process.
